AML / KYC Policy

This summary explains the identity-verification ("Know Your Customer") and anti-money-laundering ("AML") checks we apply on clazz.lk, operated by Panoralink Business Solutions (pvt) Ltd (PV 00286766).

1. Why We Verify

Before we release educator earnings, and in certain other cases, we are required to verify identity and monitor transactions to prevent money laundering and financial crime.

2. What We Collect

We may collect and verify government identification (NIC or passport) and bank-account details, and match them against the account holder's name.

3. Monitoring & Reporting

We monitor transactions for unusual activity and are required to report suspicious transactions to the Financial Intelligence Unit. We may pause or decline a transaction to meet these obligations.

4. Record-Keeping

Identity and transaction records are retained for the minimum period required by law (currently six years after the end of the relationship), as described in our Data Retention Policy.

Governing Law & Regulatory Framework

This document is intended to comply with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, including, where relevant, the Financial Transactions Reporting Act No. 6 of 2006.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by negotiation; failing that, the courts of Colombo have exclusive jurisdiction, save that any dispute may instead, by agreement of the parties, be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration Act No. 11 of 1995, seated in Colombo and conducted in English. Nothing in this clause limits any right or remedy a consumer has under the Consumer Affairs Authority Act No. 9 of 2003.
